Today I had my first day at my new job :) just a little local cafe, today was wonderful. Also, I was talking to the lovely man at my favourite bookstore about how much I love Peter Rabbit and he gave me this gem!
I got a job today! It’s at an adorable little café, I actually had an interview there about 6 months ago, didn’t get it. And a trial day about a month ago, didn’t get it. It truly is third time lucky :) now I’m chilling out in a onesie and sketching some nonsense things in the little book I threw together the night before last. Feeling on top of the world, frankly.
I feel nice today. The unexplained unhappiness of yesterday has fallen away and the good thing that happened has embraced me in it’s warm arms. In general, things are going quite well, I suppose. A few things here and there have got me down, and continue to do so most days. But in the logical part of my brain, I know that everything is okay. My little shop is going well, search for employment is going well, I’ve been spending time with people I love. I hope this joy never ends but there’s always little bumps in the road. I just have to stay positive and then, even if everything isn’t all right, I’ll be able to make it through and everything will be all right again. I am rambling now. I’m going to slice up an enormous pile of paper in preparation of book-making. This was going to be an advertisement-free post, but what the hey! it’s something I love and I want to share… hayleysmile.bigcartel ☮

Everything has been a little rocky lately, to put it nicely. I launched my online store, which is wonderful! Personal things have sucked, though. But on another bright side, I started a two day basic barista course today! So, hopefully job hunting will be more successful with more knowledge under my belt. FINGERSCROSSED. That’s really all that’s new with me, I just wanted to post something that wasn’t just shameless self-advertising.
Oh, by the way, I painted a plastic horse I bought ages ago mint-green today and I think it looks rather fab.
